Ohio death-row inmate, 62, dies in prison of natural causes

A condemned Ohio killer who shot a confidential informant and taunted him as he bled to death has died of natural causes.

The Department of Rehabilitation and Correction says death row inmate Jerry Lawson died Wednesday at Franklin Medical Center in Columbus.

The 62-year-old Lawson was sentenced to die in 1988 for the fatal shooting of Tim Martin in southwestern Ohio.
