Another clemency hearing set for Brett Hartman Brett Hartman will try again to have his life spared before a state panel. The Ohio Parole Board set the latest hearing for clemency for the condemned killer for Wednesday, October 10th. Hartman's execution is scheduled for November 13th at the Southern Ohio Correctional facility in Lucasville. Hartman was sentenced to die for the 1997 stabbing death of Wanda Snipes of Akron. The woman was found with over 130 stab wounds on her body, and her hands were cut off. Hartman's last attempt at clemency was in July 2011, when the Board unanimously denied his clemency request. At that hearing, Assistant Summit County Prosecutor Brad Gessnerpresented evidence that would not have made a difference at his trial, and told a family story. Other family members of Snipes also addressed the board. The board does not have the final say in the matter, instead they can recommend approval or denial of hartman's request. The final word rests in the hands of Governor John Kasich. akronnewsnow.com/news/local/item/55136-another-clemency-hearing-set-for-brett-hartman
