Choking back tears Thursday morning, an Illinois man facing a possible death sentence in Warren County, Ohio, told the jury, "I want to live." Terry Froman, 43, of Brookport was convicted Tuesday on two counts of murder and two counts of kidnapping in the 2014 death of his ex-girlfriend, a Graves County woman. Armed with a gun, authorities believe Froman went to the Mayfield home of his ex-girlfriend, Kim Thomas, 34, and tried to kidnap her. When Thomas called out to her 17-year-old son, Michael "Eli" Mohney, for help, Froman shot the boy twice, killing him, then forced Thomas into his SUV and fled. Froman then drove Thomas into Warren County, Ohio, and killed her, shooting her several times. The sentencing phase of Froman's trial was held Thursday, and, after approximately two hours of deliberation, the jury recommended Froman be sentenced to death.
