With Brett's execution date nearing (April 7, 2009) our family is now having to make our, what they call, the final arrangements. This includes planning for the family's final visiting.
From what I have been told, we will have one day of full contact visiting made available to our family at Brett's current institution, located at OSP. www.drc.ohio.gov/Public/osp.htm
We will also have the opportunity to have a full contact visit with Brett the day before his execution at the Southern Ohio Correctional Ins. www.drc.ohio.gov/Public/socf.htm and a semi contact visit the day of his execution.
I can't begin to tell you what having these final visits being "contact visits" means to our family.
But I can tell you that I hope you will join this effort by reading and signing the above petition on behalf of the families of Texas, who are not allowed any contact until after their family member is executed.
