The ABA Ohio Death Penalty Report: Innocence and E-Discovery On Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 The Akron Bar Association and The University of Akron School of Law presents The ABA Ohio Death Penalty Report: Innocence and E-Discovery. Seventeen years after Robert McClendon was sentenced to life in prison for alleged rape, a joint investigation by the Ohio Innocence Project and the Columbus Dispatch led to DNA testing that proved his innocence and exonerated him of the crime.
