The ABA Ohio Death Penalty Report: Innocence and E-Discovery
On Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009 The Akron Bar Association and The University of Akron School of Law presents The ABA Ohio Death Penalty Report: Innocence and E-Discovery. Seventeen years after Robert McClendon was sentenced to life in prison for alleged rape, a joint investigation by the Ohio Innocence Project and the Columbus Dispatch led to DNA testing that proved his innocence and exonerated him of the crime. He was released from prison in August 2008.
